What to do In Legazpi City

We arrived Legazpi City way too early, it was like 7am! Yah, We were that excited to roam around the city and soak our feet on the beach of Caramoan. But the weather was really bad. The storm Ramon decided to visit Bicol! Oh my gulay!!

I asked the tourism staff outside the airport regarding the places that I can visit within the city of Legazpi since is not really a good beach weather.

She gave me a map which helped me a lot! She told me to go to Cagsawa ruins first because the best time to see the site is at dawn till morning before the clouds roll in and obscure the view of the volcano....

We rented a taxi and we agreed on a fixed price of 1500 for a day tour trip on the following places
Cagsawa Ruins
Lignon Hill
Embarcadero
Hotel

Here's my snapshots.

Clouds are telling us to get ready for the storm.. twas only 8am-ish here.. :(

The bridge were damaged by the last storm so the driver needed to park the cab and we hafta to walk on that improvised wood/bamboo bridge.

There's a lot of big blackish rocks scattered around the area. As per the residents, it was due to the last volcanic eruption.

Cagsawa Ruins is located in Daraga, Albay. Kagsawa was derived from the word “KAG” meaning owner and “SAWA” meaning python

Inside, you will see the most famous church in Bicol, there are lot of locals that would ask to take a pictures of you (on different angle).
check the snippets:

Outside the Cagsawa Park, there's a lot of stalls that sells souvenir items and most of the products are made in abaca. They are also selling some PILI NUTS for pasalubongs and a wide selection of T-shirts with native scenes and designs.

I bought a lot SILI keychains here, you can have them personalized as well so you could put your name on.

Next Stop is the LIGNON HILL.... Entrance is 20pesos.

Let these photos give you a virtual tour

There's a zipline area where you could enjoy the scenic beauty of Mt Mayon  - it is worth 250/RT.

At the other side of the hill you will be seeing some part of Legazpi

Buko for Sale! lol!

Sorry but I dont understand... :(

After Lignon Hill, we went to Embarcadero for lunch.. too bad all of my photos were gone now together with my phone... :(

We decided not to stay in Legazpi  and headed to Naga immediately as it was raining hard in the city and beside, we cant think of anything to do since we were able to finish the city day tour before lunch time.

We asked the taxi driver to en route the car to TERMINAL where there are vans and buses going to Naga.

Naga from Legazpi is 2-3hours ride and it cost us more that hundred of bulks if I am not mistaken.

At the Terminal, we bought some pili nuts pasalubong where it is more cheaper compare to Cagsawa's.
BTW, They have the same arrays of products in Naga airport.. SAME PRICE... :))

next blog is about my CWC Adventure...  wink!

Maydee
