Aquria, Playa Calatagan

It's a long weekend na naman, kaya we have decided to lay down on the sand under the sun.
My skin is still tanned and havent been recovered from yesterday's outing with my family in Lipa and yet again we have this biglaang lakad.

We went to Aquaria last Sunday as we thought that we would be able to enjoy the solemnity of the place but I was wrong. Forgot that since it's a long weekend, a lot of people will be on leave as well and will rush to the beach for the last few weeks of summer.

We didnt bring a car for I wanted to learn how to commute to Calatagan  (sometimes it better if youre lost - that's my fav tagline) and I also thought that it is just a piece of cake since we will be coming from Batangas. BUT I WAS WRONG! PLEASE WAG NIO KAMI GAYANIN! hahaha!

Since we came from Batangas, we had a hard time looking for a route going to Calatagan. Unlike those that will be coming from Manila, I think there's a direct route going to Calatagan. As per my research, theres a van/bus available near Mcdonals MRT Taft Station. Travel time from Pasay to Calatagan is approximately 4 hours.

Anyhow, it took us 5 freaking hours to get to Aquaria! Yes, super pagoda kami. Knowing that we traveled from Batangas lang din ha.. hahaha! From Lipa, I went to Lemery where there's a jeepney going to Balayan.
From Balayan, you hafta ride another jeepney going to Calatagan proper. But since yung mga jeep sa Balayan to Calatagan ay magpupuno pa, which will take 1-2 hours, we have decided to hire a tricycle from Balayan  Sabungan side to Calatagan! It cost us 300 pesos - 3pax. Actually, there's a lot of tricycle drivers offering a ride going to Calatagan, galingan nio lang pag haggle or if on a tight budget and if na-swertehan, pede kayo mag wait sa Jeep. It supposed to be an hour tricycle ride lang pero super malas namin, naflat tire pa un tryk sa sobrang layo ng Catalagan! Gosh!

Finally we arrived Aquaria at around 1130. Take note, umalis ako ng Lipa ng 6:30am. Ha! Never will I commute again from Lipa.. it's my fault. :(

Aneweiz, tama na ang chikka, eto na talaga ang tunay kong blog..

Entrance fee is 400 pesos for adult and we rented a set table and chairs for 300 pesos which we only used for 10minutes ata. If you have sarong or beach mat or tent don't rent a table and chairs na since you can pitch a tent under the trees naman.. marami trees, di kayo mauubusan! hahahaha!

Oh ayan un set of table and chairs worth 300 pesos. It was supposedly set up under the big tent pero we have decided to move it sa dulong part kasi raming tao dun sa gitnang part ng resort.

Flocks of people from different walks of life andun! Me ganun pa nga.. Ayan oh, nasa ilalim lahat sila ng trees!

Below is the reception area, kiddie pool with spray fountain effect. Rami pools! Kahit marami tao, hindi siksikan.. uhm well, karamihan kasi andun sa slide area.

les check the beach

View from the restaurant.

this is not your typical boracayish sand but pede na! The water is clean compare to other Calatagan resorts Ive been to. Though medyo marami din seaweeds ba un, keribels na rin kasi they have a lot of pools inside the resort.

Le Restaurant - kinda small and could accommodate few people only. Food are ranging from 150-250 per meal. Medyo matagal order, mga 30-40mins!

This is my favorite part of the resort! Ang pinakamalamig.. sarap sana matulog dito! hahaha!
The locker room! Since they dont have overnight accommodation yet, they have lockers where you can store your personal belongings. Of course you gotta pay for 150php that includes a sachet of soap and shampoo.

Ye, it's so pink, AKOng AKO lang to!

low reso photo, sorry na! :P

a lot of selfie moment with this beautiful place. All worth the 400 pesos entrance fee and 5 hours of travel. (it could have been 2hours only with private vehicle)

we are at the right side of the resort.

On the left side of the resort. Medyo exclusive for members na ata tong part na to

the pool with big swirling slide.
You hafta queue in line to get that big 8 floater so you can slide.
It's for two people.
We tried it once - ang sarap!!!
we tried it again and boink! We had a lil accident. hahaha!
Our floater turned side right that was why we slided down without it, aun nagkagasgas kami and our elbows got wounded.

Good thing about that was before we fell on a 5-feet deep pool without our floater, the lifeguard assisted us and informed us to go to the clinic. Aun, meron sila pang first aid naman pala.

I dunno if that happened to some people who used the slide pero I hope not. Medyo hindi din safe un position namin on our 2nd ride coz my bf who's heavier that me was sitting in front. Dunno if it has something to do with the weight. We were out of balance while sliding down thats why we turned right side down from the floater.

Nonetheless, I will slide again! haha!

hope to visit this place again but I hope to get an overnight accommodation para hindi bitin.. hihi!

check out their prices.
