CDO - City of Golden Friendship


We almost didn't make this trip! Were were 5minutes late of our flight due to heavy traffic in Sucat coz of storm. Yah, Manila was under storm then and the night before that, we were kinda thinking if we should back out. But our friends who had their flights one day earlier than us were able to reach Northen Mindanao without any probs. They even told us that twas so hot in CDO! Hooray to that!

Arrived CDO  at 10am and sun was kinda unforgivable. Airport is small. We took a taxi going to our hotel. I thought the dialect here are the one used in Mindanao but they're using a Visayan dialect. :))

Yay! We were in Region 10!! First time in Mindanao! saw this  BIG collage of photos at the wall in the arrival area. I want to explore every niche of Region 10 but I only have 3 days..  I will definitely add them on my must-travel list!



 We checked in at Willshire hotel. For sosy travelers, this hotel aint for you! We booked a package tour with Kuya Rogers that's why we dont have any choice then and beside, our friends were already checked in on other room, taking a rest as they went to Bukidnon the previous day.
I do have picture of our rooms but it would be unfair if I will be posting 'em here as the room is not really nice.. it so old and the smell is kinda odd. Dunno, maybe Im just expecting too much. We even saw a small bug. :(( Anyway, I told myself that twas okay since we will not gonna be spending the rest of the day at the room since we have to do some activities during the day and leave early morning the day after.


Since we still have time before our WWR activity, we decided to eat out first. We asked the locals on where we could eat but it seems like there's no famous resto/eatery somewhere near. They have a night market where you could buy lotsa stuff and food, they call it Divisoria but it opens during night only.

We decided to dine in at Pedong's and ordered grilled liempo. The place is kinda spacious. It opens from 10am so we were the first customers! HA!

 We both ordered the same meal. hahaha! 

Now we are off to some adventure, the CDO white water rafting.. but before that, we passed  by Macamhabus Adventure Park. Actually, Kagay Outdoors (our official guide for WWR) offers a package that includes some activities in Macahambus. 



 They offer Skybridge, Rapelling and Zipline. We never tried any.. lol!

 It was a short zipline ride only but you have to cross the skybridge first before they hang your A off on that zipline. :P

Baguio... at Long Last!

CITY OF PINES! This is a biglaan trip, we have decided to spend my birthday in Baguio since ito talaga un first dream destination namin as couple nun mga bata pa kami! hahaha! ang babaw lang..oh well, that was 8 or 9 or 10 years ago. What I did lang was I printed out some tips and maps from different blog sites so I could read them while on a road. Bicol - Caramoan Tour 2017

BICOL 2017 Had a valentine date with my workmates, sadly, we weren't able to go to all of the islands in Caramoan because the weather was bad (My 2nd time in Bicol and 2nd time to try Caramoan tour but still failed) but at least we were able to go to 2 islands in Caramoan. Come Again in Camiguin - Countryside Tour

Hiyaaahh!! It's ber month and Im back on backpacking and beaching mode! Oh yeah, nobody cant stop me from exploring every niche of the PI.. :p   This time, I went to Northern Mindanao with my solemate and his friends. First, we went CDO for the white water rafting - see next blog. The morning after, we went straight to Camiguin. From Cagayan de Oro, we went to Agora Market Terminal to catch the first trip to  Balingoan Bus Terminal. From Balingoan terminal we took a tricycle (10pesos each)  to the ferry terminal bound to Port of Benoni in Camiguin. Fare is 170 PHP / Terminal fee is 2.50pesos and travel time is 1 hour - 1 and 45mins (depends if it is a fast craft or not)  The 5am ferry that we took was not!
